SHELDON MILAN
I choose civil engineering as my major because I enjoy finding solutions to a presented problem. I also wanted to become an engineer so that I am able to make a difference and improve the life of many citizens in our community. After graduating with my bachelor's degree, I plan on attending a graduate school with a focus on environmental engineering. I decided to become a social committee chair because I want to gain experience in event planning for a group of people. As the social committee chair, I would like to create a fun atmosphere where members can have fun and interact with one another. Hope to see you all at our events! VINCENT TRAN
I choose civil engineering because I am interested in foundations and I want to live in Hawaii. I wanted to become a social co-chair because I wanted to be a part of something big where I could make a difference. I want to become a civil engineer after I graduate. My goal for the social committee is to have everyone in ASCE become closer with one another through fun activities and outings. |
The main objective of the Social Committee is to plan events that provide a pleasant atmosphere to meet new and existing members in ASCE. We also plan to participate in social events with the ASCE Younger Member Forum (YMF) to increase networking opportunities. This year we want to incorporate health and fitness to our events, so some upcoming events will include physical activities (ie. bowling, hiking, beach, etc.). We hope that you will join us in making this year one for the books! If you are interested in becoming a part of our committee, please contact one of the social committee chairs via email.
