Aloha! My name is Dea Bongolan, this year's Recording Secretary and Concrete Canoe Mix Design Captain. I graduated from Waipahu High School in 2019. Currently, I am a senior studying in Civil Engineering with plans to pursue a Master's Degree through the BAM program and then work in the construction sector after graduation. I've been a member of ASCE since the Spring of 2020. Throughout this period of time, I've made countless amounts of connections, friendships, and memories. I wish I had joined sooner rather than later and started my membership at the start of Fall 2019. My goals as Recording Secretary are to undertake sophisticated clerical and secretarial work including frequent detailed administrative obligations. As the Concrete Canoe Mix Design Captain, my goals are to accomplish and achieve the designed/necessary workability at all phases, the desired minimum strength in the hardened stage, and the desired durability in the given environmental circumstances. Outside of ASCE, I enjoy traveling around the world, playing video games, and relaxing/chillaxing both indoors and outdoors.
