Civil Engineering, Junior mailto:[email protected] Aloha! My name is Briant Pham and I'm the fundraising chair for this year. I'm majoring in civil engineering because I would like to apply science and critical thinking to solve real world problems. From the design and construction of buildings and roads to water treatment and more, civil engineers contribute so much to the advancement of civilization! I would love to play an active part in that development and build upon the friendships and memories I've made in ASCE. I decided to do fundraising again since it's important that ASCE has enough money to sustain itself and fund efforts such as canoe, bridge, socials, etc. I believe my experience from last year will help accomplish this. Some goals I hope we can achieve this year are to increase participation in fundraising meetings and events, subsidize conference fees, and try out different fundraisers. After graduating with my engineering degree, I plan to become a licensed professional engineer. I would like to work in Hawaii for a few years before possibly going to graduate school. |
